IDEA StatiCa works with your RFEM/RSTAB. You can select any number of steel connections and members in RFEM/RSTAB and export it to IDEA StatiCa for structural design and code-checking. All the beams, cross-sections, and internal forces are not just exported, but they are also synchronized if the RFEM/RSTAB model changes. IDEA StatiCa and RFEM/RSTAB give you an efficient workflow for your structural steel design that saves time, minimizes errors, and opens up optimization possibilities.
RFEM and RSTAB to IDEA StatiCa workflow
You do not need anything special to get started - just download and install both applications on the same PC, IDEA StatiCa will automatically detect the RFEM/RSTAB installation and activate the plugin. And you can start exporting and designing steel connections right away!

Version 21.1 and newer (October 2021 onwards) - BIM link is managed by IDEA StatiCa Checkbot - an application for the management of BIM workflows. This means for you:

- 3D visualization of imported members and loads

How does the link work for older IDEA StatiCa versions?
IDEA StatiCa versions up to and including 21.0 (released April 2021) are using the application Code-check manager. It has limited capabilities to export and synchronize steel connections. It is, of course, still supported by the IDEA StatiCa product team.
