In previous versions, connection templates in the wizard were ordered without regard to the design code, so an engineer working in AISC was offered EN geometries first – and the predefined set in All geometries held simple connections only.
From version 26.1, the template order now follows the design code of the model – AISC-typical first for AISC design code, EN-typical first for EN model. The same rule applies in the wizard and the Propose dialogue. AISC parametric templates were added across versions 26.0.1 and 26.0.2, and complex AISC connections were added to the predefined set in All geometries.
The default parameters are adjusted for the US market: bolt assembly is set to 3/4 A325 when working in AISC, and imperial rounding is set to 1/16 for every new entity.
Korean and Vietnamese were added across all IDEA StatiCa applications.
