An example of an asymmetrical reinforced concrete pier cap. The pier cap has two bearing pedestals on top with load transferring plates to prevent the local crushing of the concrete. Such a structure is usually designed in civil structures as a part of bridge structures that supports the diaphragms. Modeled and analyzed in the IDEA StatiCa Detail application.
