Before you start...

To study the Campus courses, you need to have an active IDEA StatiCa license. If you have a commercial license, simply select a course, and after logging into the User Portal, you can study.

If you don't have an IDEA StatiCa license, you can apply for a time-limited Campus License to study this course.

In this course, you will learn the principles of the Component Based Finite Element Method (CBFEM), basic workflow in the Connection application, and proper stress-strain analysis results interpretation.

ADVANCED TOPICS IN STEEL CONNECTION DESIGN

In this course, you will learn about advanced analyses, such as stiffness analysis, buckling analysis, etc. Moreover, you will understand BIM workflows and the Checkbot application.

  • Requirements: Completed Essentials of steel connection design course

STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF STABILITY-SENSITIVE MEMBERS

In this course, you will learn the principles and basic workflow in the Member application, together with correct results evaluation of materially non-linear analysis, linear buckling analysis, and geometrically and materially non-linear analysis with imperfections.

In this course, you will learn the principles of the Compatible Stress Field Method (CSFM), basic workflow in the Detail application, and proper results interpretation.
