Speaker
IDEA StatiCa
Join the webinar to see a practical example of why relying solely on global FEA software for transfer wall design can be dangerous. Instead, we’ll show how to transfer wall data to IDEA StatiCa Detail and analyse the wall using the Compatible Stress Field Method (CSFM) which is a more suitable approach. You’ll learn how to interpret imported data, define reinforcement layouts and properly read the results.
Designing transfer walls with openings presents unique challenges. Traditional hand calculations are often time-consuming and involve extensive trial and error. Alternatively, using principal stress outputs from global FEA software may lead to unsafe designs due to overlooked factors such as compression softening.
During the webinar, we will highlight the hidden risks of relying on global FEA and demonstrate how IDEA StatiCa Detail helps engineers overcome these limitations.
Once the analysis is complete, IDEA StatiCa Detail provides engineers with comprehensive results, including concrete and rebar stresses for ULS (Strength), as well as crack width and displacement checks for SLS (Serviceability). This increases design confidence and reduces the risk of, for example, cracking-related issues or excessive deflections.
On top of the analysis results, IDEA StatiCa Detail also provides bill of material which can be used for fabrication purposes.
