Future design procedure for structural connections

This paper introduces Component-based Finite Element Method for a design of structural steel joints. Its features are demonstrated on an example of portal eaves frame joint.

This paper was presented at the Nordic Steel Construction Conference 2015 Tampere, Finland by the team of prof. F. Wald, M. Kurejkova, L. Godrich, L. Sabatka &J. Kabelac from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of steel and timber structures.
