Combined double-channel fin plate connection (stiffness)

A bolted connection of a rolled double-channel 2Uo (UNP300) beam and an I-section column with HEB300 profile. The connection is formed by three shaped fin plates, one pair on top and bottom flanges, and one inserted between the webs of the channel sections. The column has stiffeners with chamfered corners aligned with the beam flanges.

The connection was created to analyze its stiffness, resulting in a semi-rigid classification for rotational stiffness around the Y and Z axes, as well as initial stiffness values for axial and torsional stiffness.
