The IDEA StatiCa Basic Steel training is a one-day course in which you will learn the main fundamentals of our steel package. The focus is on the Connection application.
During the training we cover such topics as:
- Theoretical background of the software
- The use of operations for modeling steel connections
- Modeling tips and common mistakes
- Important principles, such as"Loads in Equilibrium","Position of Forces", and"Model Type"
- Calculation types:"Stress/strain analysis","Buckling analysis", and"Design Joint Resistance"
- Analyzing the results
- Preparing a report
- Using the Checkbot application for integration with CAD and FEA Software
Upon completion of the training you will be able to design and calculate steel connections independently and with confidence using IDEA StatiCa.
Who is the training for?
The training is for steel fabricators who are new users of the software or may already have some experience.
Course requirements
To attend the training you must bring your own laptop with the latest version of IDEA StatiCa installed on it. We can provide training licenses if needed.
