Join the webinar to explore practical examples of how IDEA StatiCa helps design the non-beam areas (discontinuity regions), including various types of walls, quickly and precisely.
In the session, we'll compare the traditional approach (hand calculations) with using the advanced method (CSFM), show how to define the structure in IDEA StatiCa Detail, correct load and reinforcement input, and properly read the results.
In the case of wall with openings, engineers often face stress singularities or stress concentrations around the openings. While this is a common issue, it's usually overlooked by the designer. However, this could lead to potentially unsafe results because one can be neglected while the other can't and have to be dealt with. During the webinar, we'll explain what's the difference and how to dealt with the topic efficiently.
Once the analysis is complete, IDEA StatiCa Detail provides engineers with comprehensive results, including concrete and rebar stresses for ULS (Strength), as well as crack width and displacement checks for SLS (Serviceability). This increases design confidence and reduces the risk of, for example, cracking-related issues or excessive deflections.
