This is a parametrized joint for a steel truss tower used to support an overhead power line. The arrangement of the steel connection was designed not just for its strength but also for easy transport and assembly of elements on site. The design for this repetitive task was simplified by using parametric design, reducing the number of inputs needed. The model was created in the IDEA StatiCa Connection app.
