Cast-in plates, headed studs, reinforcement bars, and threaded rods with washer plates extend the range of what can be analyzed and code-checked in anchoring design. For specific and complex arrangements, a new functionality of anchoring on different concrete surfaces is available.
With focus on existing concrete structures, a new type of reinforcement - smooth rebars has been added to the sortiment. As a type of special strengthening of structures, unbonded tendons are embedded in Detail app.
Detail app is great in solving discontinuity regions. When the user already has the data ready for analysis in ETABS or SAP2000, a new BIM link through Checkbot simplifies the whole design process with geometry and loading combinations import into Detail.
In the Connection app, there is a new possibility to combine several parametric templates in one connection model. This allows the user to prepare automated code-checks for quite complex arrangements.
When working with a whole steel structure, designing the connections in bulk makes the best sense. To simplify the final stage of the process, users can save the default report settings and generate them for the whole group in a significantly shorter time than ever before.
For having the whole structure under those dealing with global models with repeating standard connections, the Checkbot has been improved with the bulk report. Together with automatic grouping and a critical load filter, there is no more productive tool for connection design.
Smooth rebars used in existing concrete structures can be analyzed in IDEA tools. Unbonded tendons are available for prestressing design for retrofits and strengthening.
Precasters can analyze the LTB of slender beams, with results available directly in the Beam app, without switching between several tools.
Yes, it's quite a pile of news, but that's not all! Watch the webinar or read the full release notes.
