Our applications are desktop as well as cloud-based and enable structural engineers in more the 110 countries worldwide to accurately design and calculate structural members, which they had only estimated before.   

We are looking for a Regional Engineer to represent our solutions across the Western United States. In this customer-facing role, you’ll act as a trusted technical and commercial resource, helping engineers streamline and improve their structural design workflows. The Regional Engineer will help implement strategic goals and objectives of IDEA StatiCa by acting as the key point of contact for structural engineers.

What will you do?

As a Regional Engineer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and prospects in your territory. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction, retention, and renewals
  • Managing inbound leads while proactively identifying new opportunities within your region
  • Scheduling and leading meetings with prospects and existing customers
  • Delivering software demonstrations and technical presentations (one-on-one, online, and at live events)
  • Providing first-level technical support, collaborating with Product Engineers on complex cases
  • Managing opportunities through the sales process using a structured sales methodology to maintain a predictable pipeline
  • Working closely with marketing to plan and execute regional campaigns, events, and outreach activities

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What We’re Looking For

  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent background)
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, construction, or a technical sales role
  • Prior sales experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Confidence explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • General familiarity with structural engineering software tools
  • Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-growing technology company
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region
  • Must reside within the Western United States
