The structure is the movable frame of a reheating furnace in ArcelorMittal Calvert steel plant, Alabama, USA.
CRESCO checked the steel structures and connections under ULS and Fatigue loads.
Nodes have been modelled in Tekla Structures and then calculated with Idea Statica.
The main task has been the modeling and check of the connections between structure and the hydraulic cylinders that moves the furnace.
