General cross-section column
Semi-rigid connection of two columns with general welded cruciform cross-section. The members are connected via bolts using endplates. Bolted endplate connections are designed to be able to transfer axial and shear forces, and moments. Such a structure is typically used in areas with seismic activity. Modeled in the IDEA StatiCa Connection application.
