Having control not only over the width of the cracks, but also their distances is important, and gives the engineer worthy information about the behavior of the reinforced concrete structure under the input loads.
Crack spacing is the new functionality introduced in the newest autumn product release of IDEA StatiCa Detail 10.1. It enables the user to investigate the distance between cracks within the entire concrete detail.
This new feature is a part of the crack check. The calculated crack spacing is displayed using the color palette showing in seconds how far are individual cracks from each other.
