Why and how to input internal forces into a concrete detail?

Cet article est aussi disponible en :
Correct input of both internal and external forces (load impulses) is a crucial task when cutting out detail from a global model of a concrete structure.

The tricky part is caused by the fact that the trimmed detail does not keep the information about the geometry and the loading from the rest of the structure.

To define them correctly in IDEA StatiCa Detail we have to input internal forces into the defined section of the analyzed elements. The internal forces must be taken from the global analysis of the structure. Obviously, all internal forces have to be in equilibrium.

To check if the input was correct, the internal forces diagram in IDEA StatiCa Detail can be of help.
