After nearly two years of fruitful collaboration on the French market, SCIA – a company of the global group Nemetschek – extends its partnership with IDEA StatiCa and becomes the official reseller of its code-checking software for steel connections and concrete details in its home market, Benelux.

A French success story

In 2017, SCIA and IDEA StatiCa joined forces to introduce the IDEA StatiCa Steel connections calculation software on the French market. The collaboration came as no surprise, given the striking complementarity of the software with SCIA Engineer. Following this success, SCIA recently became the official French reseller of IDEA StatiCa software for concrete, IDEA StatiCa ‘Concrete’, ‘Detail’, and ‘Prestressing’.

The usability of IDEA StatiCa software, coupled with the lack of equivalent software, has led to a promising start in France. Customers include Eiffage Métal, SMB Constructions Métalliques, and the Briand Group.

The best of both worlds

This collaboration is of great importance for both partners, given the possibilities offered by IDEA StatiCa for the calculation of complex connections (which are commonplace for steel) and reinforcement design for unusual types of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete elements.

SCIA can now deliver its clients with the best-in-class solution for structural analysis – SCIA Engineer – integrated with the best-in-class solution for steel connection design. Also, for concrete (including pre- and post-tensioning), SCIA can from now on deliver a superior stand-alone solution for a fast check of structures.

Structural engineers deserve to have access to the best tools and workflows, provided by competent experts. We are excited about the partnership with SCIA and the whole Nemetschek Group because it delivers just that.

The future is bright

The collaboration is thus growing closer between SCIA and IDEA StatiCa, extending to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg for both steel and concrete solutions. This will lead to innovation now and in the future, benefiting all clients.

In the interest of ensuring the highest standards and quality of experience to all its customers, SCIA offers customer support for IDEA StatiCa software through its usual support channels.

We are very excited to intensify our relationship with IDEA StatiCa. Our clients are our top priority and by partnering with IDEA StatiCa, we know we can provide them with the perfect complementary solution to our structural analysis software.
