This is a special Autodesk University 2020 webinar showing the capabilities to integrate Revit and Advance Steel with AEC industry partner IDEA Statica’s steel connection analysis and design software.

This session will look at the future of steel connection design and how it will become more automated, freeing up time for greater collaboration between structural engineers and steel fabricators. The topic of focus is on current and coming capabilities to integrate Revit and Advance Steel with AEC industry partner IDEA Statica’s steel connection analysis and design software. IDEA Statica software allows engineers to work faster, evaluate requirements of the national code thoroughly, and use the optimal amount of material. This event is hosted by Autodesk and runs in parallel to Autodesk University.

During this one hour session, you will:

Learn about IDEA Statica integration with Advance Steel and its benefits to fabricators and detailing services providers (connection designers):
1. Fine-tuning the model before fabrication
2. Material savings
3. Ensure buildability

Learn about IDEA Statica connection design integration with Autodesk Revit and benefits to structural engineers that do connection design and coordination:
1. Identify constructability or coordination issues during pre-design
2. Optimize structural frame and connections together
3. Shorten connection design time of non-typical connections
