Inner column with global (Euler) buckling hazzard

Dieser Artikel ist auch verfügbar in:

A simple beam-column segment made of a 6-meter-long HEA300 column and an 8-meter-long IPE500 beam lying on top of it. The beam is stabilized by 5-meter-long RHS 80x80x5 bracing tubes on both sides. This structural segment is located inside a larger building and serves as a load distributor into the rest of the structural system and is loaded at the member axis by a uniformly distributed load of 250 kN/m. All steel is grade S355.

More about the project and comparison with the analytical stability analysis in the webinar recording and a blog.

The structure is analyzed in the IDEA StatiCa Member application.
