Heavy anchoring with a base plate
Heavy anchorage is typically used in industrial buildings with crane supporting structures. Steel rolled I-section column is anchored to concrete block using baseplate, welded stiffening channel members, and anchors with circular washer plate. This connection ought to transfer large bending moments. Modeled and analyzed in the IDEA StatiCa Connection application.
