Product Owner BIM

IDEA StatiCa is a leading international innovator in the field of structural analysis and design of structures. Our applications are desktop as well as cloud-based and enable structural engineers in more the 115 countries worldwide to accurately design structural members, which they had estimated before. As a Product Owner for the BIM Development Team, you will evaluate opportunities for product expansion and prioritize the development of BIM-related features to maximize the value delivered to our customers. All within boundaries set out by the company’s vision, mission, and overall product strategy.

What will you do?

  • Work closely with the Development Team, the Product Designer, and the Product Marketing Manager throughout the whole product discovery-to-delivery cycle
  • Own the feedback collection process and interact with customers to gain deep knowledge of their needs, pains, and goals
  • Participate in defining and executing the BIM Product Strategy
  • Outline the work to be done by an agile development team by co-creating and reviewing acceptance criteria
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners and 3rd party software vendors
  • Differentiate between customer insights, feature requests, and bugs coming through our feedback collection channels
  • Aid Product Engineers in providing support, giving context and technical background
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of BIM and API-related product metrics

Role requirements?

  • Previous experience working in Structural Engineering or BIM coordination fields
  • Interpersonal skills allowing you to work efficiently in an agile team – discovering, assigning, and reviewing the work
  • Working experience with FEA and/or CAD software commonly used in the industry
  • Enthusiasm for understanding technology – the capability to learn the use of IDEA StatiCa Open Model data format and API
  • High level of empathy, ability to see the world from the customer’s point of view
  • Excellent oral and written English
