The 67-metre high ICON building is a new landmark in Växjö, Sweden. It is also one of Peikko's largest projects in the country. In this webinar, we have prepared together with Peikko engineers, we'll take a look at their most interesting experiences and lessons learned from this project.

The ICON Växjö project was a matter of one of our case studies in the past because it is a very nice example of international cooperation between structural design offices. For the structure itself, a combination of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite members was successfully used.

Thanks to the inventive and progressive approach, the design team leveraged several design applications and advantages of their BIM interconnection. In the first part of the webinar, you will have the opportunity to take a look under the hood of the innovative solution.

In the second part of the webinar, we will focus on the new features embedded in IDEA StatiCa Connection, which can help the Engineer or Designer to build his models faster and more effectively. We will demonstrate step-by-step modeling on a selected complex connection from the ICON project.

You will be able to compare the efficiency between the original design approach and the new workflows that are possible in the latest versions of structural applications.
