IDEA StatiCa Concrete & Prestressing enables an effective design of all reinforced concrete, prestressed and composite members, cross-sections and details.
Structural checks comply both Ultimate and Serviceability limit state requirements, including deflection check considering cracking. Structural analysis of precast members and bridges is performed as time-dependent analysis with respect to construction stages.

IDEA StatiCa Concrete & Prestressing
Take the advantage of easy import of structural geometry, internal forces of all load cases, combinations and construction stages. You can design a simple beam in the same way as for example segments of the bridge constructed by cantilever method.
Take advantage of export of all drawings into DXF, and import of general cross-section and tendon´s shape. These features save a lot of engineer’s time during preparation of drawings.
ULTIMATE LIMIT STATE
Analysis of cross-section loaded by any combination of internal forces.
Capacity N-M-M check is main concrete check of cross-section subjected to axial force and bending moments. Interaction diagram with its vertical and horizontal section is drawn for designed concrete cross-section. Diagram can be exported into image or DXF file. Data can be exported into Excel or into text file format.
Shear analysis with strut and tie models is adopted.
Stirrups and links
Shape of links and stirrups can be selected to resist shear and/or torsion. Optimization of compression strut angle θ can be used.
Longitudinal reinforcing bars can be set as bent-up bars to increase shear resistance of member.
Shear at the Interface between composite parts of concrete section
Stress check at the interface between composite parts of cross-section with consideration of interface type and reinforcement crossing the interface..
Program automatically calculates the equivalent thin-walled section for torsion check of concrete cross-section with regard to shear reinforcement selected to resist torsion. Concrete and reinforcement is checked.
Interaction of all components of internal forces is checked (N, My, Mz, Vz, Vy T).
Minimum and maximum reinforcement areas, spacing of longitudinal bars and shear reinforcement, limit value of tendon stress. etc. All detailing rules checks are referenced to code.
Response of cross-section represents the stress-strain state of all cross-section components. It provides clear and detailed information about the behaviour and utilization of cross-section. Response N-M-M analysis provides results for further interaction check of all internal forces.
SERVICEABILITY LIMIT STATE

Check of stresses in concrete fibres and reinforcement for short-term and long-term effects.
Crack width is calculated for reinforced, prestressed, and composite 1D and 2D concrete members (liquid retaining and containment structures). The concrete may be effective or ineffective in tension.
Deflection control of reinforced and prestressed concrete girders with effect of cracking, concrete age (modulus of elasticity), creep and shrinkage.
Load-carrying capacity is verified using reduced area of prestressing reinforcement..
Determination of stress-range and fatigue resistance considering the fatigue strength of concrete, reinforcement and prestressing reinforcement. Fatigue checks are provided for both road and railway bridges.
The decompression condition requires position of prestressing reinforcement within concrete in compression.
Detail analysis enables safe and economic design.
Bridge load rating
Automated calculation of bridge load rating for concrete bridges (road and railway) can be performed for both Ultimate and Serviceability limit states. Existing data input for design process of bridge structure may be used in subsequent bridge load rating analysis. BIM links and effective iterative process significantly save your time.
M-N-rotation diagram can be used for the calculation of properties of plastic hinges e.g. for seismic analysis using Pushover Method.
Time dependent analysis (TDA) enables to determine nonlinear creep effect. Such analysis results in more realistic results and enables more economic design with regard to stress limitation checks.
Unique 3D time dependent analysis of creep and shrinkage of concrete represents real behaviour of structure during construction stages and its service life. BIM solution enables the application of this sophisticated analysis also for structural members calculated in 3D models of your FEA software.

Precast concrete structures
Strut&Tie Method is adopted for corbel/bracket design with all checks of all concrete components (struts and nodal zones) and reinforcement (space looped and framing bars, stirrups). Detailing rules check, anchorage lengths etc.
